  4. The zip includes: your profile data, payment history, fixture history, and communication records.

2. Simple Explanation (Beginners)

Your Player Profile is like your membership card for the club — it holds all your personal details, your playing stats, and your availability. Keeping it up to date helps your coach select you appropriately and ensures you get the right notifications.

The most important things to maintain:

  • Your contact info (so the club can reach you)
  • Blockout dates (so your coach knows when you're unavailable)
  • Injury status (so you don't get selected when hurt)

3. Advanced Explanation (Power Users)

Profile vs. membership: Your profile contains identity information (name, DOB, contact) that is shared across all clubs you belong to. Club-specific data (team, role, registration fields, payment history) is scoped to each club.

Blockout date mechanics: Blockout dates are evaluated against fixture dates in the Squad Builder. If a fixture falls within a player's blockout range, they appear as Unavailable — this is a hard indicator (not just advisory like RSVP). Blockouts can be set by the player or by an admin on their behalf.

Health tracking: Injury flags are visible to all Coaches, Selectors, and Club Admins in the Squad Builder. The flag persists until explicitly cleared. Severity levels help coaches prioritise follow-up conversations.

Registration fields: These are custom fields defined by the Club Admin in Settings. They could include: shirt size, emergency contacts, medical conditions, your league platform participant ID, etc. Fields can be required or optional. A player's registration is incomplete until all required fields are filled.

schedule import: This pulls historical stats and biographical data from your your league platform record. It's a one-time import per session — you can run it again if your league platform data changes. Imported data can be manually overridden on your profile if there are discrepancies.

GDPR compliance: The Download My Data feature fulfils the right to data portability under GDPR (and equivalent Australian Privacy Act obligations). The export is triggered by the user; the platform has no ability to suppress it.

MFA and security: MFA setup, password change, and account deletion are on the Security tab of your profile. See Module 12 — Security Settings for full detail.

6. FAQ — Player Profile

Q: Can other club members see my profile? A: Club Admins and Coaches can see your full profile (name, contact, health, availability). Other Players see a limited view (name, avatar, stats).

Q: I moved — how do I update my address? A: The platform stores contact info but not a residential address. Update your phone number and email in Edit Profile. For address-specific purposes (e.g., registration forms), update your club's custom registration fields.

Q: My stats are wrong — they show fewer appearances than I've played. A: Stats are recorded when an admin marks post-match attendance. If you played in a fixture that hasn't been marked as attended, your stats won't reflect it. Contact your Club Admin.

Q: I added a blockout but my coach still selected me. A: Coaches can override blockout dates at their discretion — the blockout is an indicator, not a hard lock. Contact your coach directly if there's a conflict.

Q: How do I remove a blockout I added by mistake? A: Go to Profile → Availability → find the blockout entry → click Remove.

Q: My injury is healed but the injury badge is still showing. A: Go to Profile → Health & Injury → click Mark as Recovered. The badge clears immediately.

Q: Can I fill in registration fields after the season starts? A: Yes — registration fields can be updated at any time. However, required fields must be completed for your registration to be considered complete.

Q: My profile is showing data from a previous season. How do I see current data? A: Stats and history are season-filtered. Make sure you're viewing the current active season — check the season selector if one is visible.

7. Common Mistakes & How to Avoid Them

MistakeWhat HappensHow to Avoid
Not setting blockout datesCoach selects you for a fixture you can't attendSet blockouts as soon as you know your unavailability
Not clearing injury flag after recoveryCoach avoids selecting you; missed selection opportunitiesClear the injury flag immediately when you're fit to play
Using a blurry or group photo as avatarCoaches/admins can't identify you quicklyUse a clear, individual headshot
Not filling in required registration fieldsRegistration is considered incomplete; may affect selectionCheck the Registration tab and complete all required fields
Changing email without re-verifyingAccount access may be disruptedAfter changing email, verify the new address promptly
Sharing your profile linkOthers can see limited public infoYour profile is not fully public — but avoid sharing profile links in public forums
Importing league platform data that conflicts with existing dataProfile data may be overwrittenReview the import preview carefully before confirming

8. Short Onboarding Script

Your Profile — Your Club Identity

Three things to do when you first log in:

  1. Upload a photo — so your coach and teammates recognise you.
  2. Add any blockout dates — holidays, commitments, unavailability.
  3. Fill in registration fields — your club may need extra information.

Keep your profile updated throughout the season — especially your injury status.

9. Long Training Guide

Profile Completeness Matters

A complete, up-to-date profile makes the entire club run more smoothly:

  • Coaches can make informed selection decisions.
  • Treasurers can contact you about payments.
  • Admins can process your registration.
  • Emergency contacts are there if something goes wrong on game day.

Availability Management Best Practices

Think of your profile's Availability section as a digital sign-out board:

  • Set blockouts as soon as you know about conflicts — don't wait until the week of the fixture.
  • Be specific about dates — a broad blockout (e.g., "July") prevents you from being selected for ALL July fixtures.
  • If you've recovered from an injury but have a temporary restriction (e.g., "no contact for 2 weeks"), set a blockout for that period rather than leaving the injury flag active.

Understanding Stats

Stats in GoClubPro are:

  • Appearances: Counted when an admin marks post-match attendance for a fixture you were selected for.
  • Win/Loss/Draw: Calculated from fixture results entered by the admin.
  • Sport-specific stats: (Goals, wickets, assists, etc.) — entered by coaches or admins post-match if your club uses this feature.

Stats are reset each season. Historical season stats are archived and visible in the Match History tab.

Security Tab in Detail

The Security tab contains:

  • Change Password: Enter current password, then new password twice.
  • MFA Setup: Link an authenticator app for two-factor login.
  • Active Sessions: View all devices/browsers currently logged in.
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all personal data. This is irreversible — all payment history, stats, and memberships are removed.

For full MFA and security detail, see Module 12 — Security Settings.

schedule import Details

The schedule import retrieves:

  • Biographical data (name, DOB)
  • Historical competition participations
  • Aggregated career stats (if available via league platform API)

It does NOT import:

  • Payment history
  • Club-specific registration data
  • Blockout dates or availability

Run the import again if your league platform data is updated (e.g., after a new season records are processed).
